How The Miz benefits from John Cena's victory on Raw.

I'd be shocked if the Big Show won it so the Orton-Triple H feud just be for the hate both men have for each other. But at the same time if Show wins it that means John Cena will take it right off of him and beat him for the 3rd time in a row at The Bash. At least The Miz might get a title shot and go one-on-one with the champion (of course he won't win) but this would be an excuse for Miz to get squashed and not loose that much heat because yeah it's for the championship; but, The Miz never really BEAT anyone to become a contender so if he begins his quest to be a contender then the transition of The Miz character as a singles competitor would have payed off. Then The Miz would be able to begin his contendership by going for the US Title against Kofi.

So yeah I obviously went a bit too far and all I've been thinking is about how The Miz will leave the Cena/Show storyline and venture off into his next storyline; which should be a US Championship match against Kofi Kingston.

Though, since Randy Orton was pretty much screwed out of the title I think he'll get it back just like how Chris Jericho won it back from Batista a week later in his Steel Cage rematch.

Raw Review

Batista gets jumped by Legacy and break his arm.

-I'm still pissed Batista took the title. He's going to be out my guess 3 weeks and will still defend the title against Orton.

William Regal v. US Champion Kofi Kingston

-Kofi wins in a sloppy looking victory and kind of a cheap victory. I guess SOMEONE had to job to Kofi the day after and why not the man he didn't beat the night before, Matt Hardy?

Randy Orton tells Josh Mathews he's invoking his rematch clause tonight.

[Graphic: Miz v. John Cena tonight]

Kelly Kelly v. WWE Divas Champion Maryse [Divas Title Match]

(Mickie James comes out for commentary. 3 weeks after Maryse interfered in the battle royal?)

-Obviously Maryse beats Kelly Kelly because they're setting up a title match with Mickie James. Maryse has the greatest personality of any of the WWE Divas but she needs to fine tune her wrestling skills because she's a bit all over the place.

[Recap of Hog Pen's Match]

Vickie Guerrero interview with Josh Mathews and confirms the WWE Championship match tonight. Huge announcement tonight on Raw.

The Miz and Maryse. Maryse says there's nothing without a Miz victory on Raw. Raw says to continue watching because he's "Awesome".

Santino Marella, Festus, and Goldust w/Hornswoggle v. Chavo Guerrero, The Brian Kendrick, and Jamie Noble

-Fun and enjoyable match. Nothing bad to say. Well, get rid of Hornswoggle already.

The Miz v. John Cena

-"Tool Time"...hahaha hilarious! Well, here comes the Big Show. Who didn't see that coming? NOT ME!! The Miz takes out Show with a metal chair. Then whacks Cena with it. Awesome! He needed retribution on the Big Show for his TKO punch last week.

MVP v. Matt Hardy

-M.Hardy jobs to MVP just to get MVP over. Nothing special except that he wants to be in the WWE title match next week.

Vickie Guerrero coming out to make an announcement.

"Tired of being made fun of". She's resigning!! WTF? Edge comes out. Edge finally comes clean and announces that he's been using her. He wants a Divorce. Uh... didn't he say that last night? So, is Vickie Guerrero officially done with WWE? If so, I have to admit she's been one helluva heel and definitely shined as a character.

John Cena says that his problems with Big Show will end soon. And that he kind of respects The Miz because he's trying to prove how bad ass he is; but, he's going to beat his ass when they face off one-on-one with no interference.

Priceless v. WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Primo & Carlito

-Priceless are a great tag team together. Them working together as a team unit makes them great. They had to go over the champion because Orton will not. Ric Flair will return as the NEW GM of RAW again.

Randy Orton w/Legacy v. WWE Champion Batista [WWE Title Match]

THE GAME returns. There goes MVP's title push. So, again, Orton gets buried. The last heel that was dominant in the WWE was, OMG, Triple H. Its funny that they won't put over another Heel as the top star in the company. It's sad because Orton is for sure the wrestler that needs to be the #1 guy from this new generation. Sad, just sad.

Next Week Preview:

-We're left without a GM. Not sure if the WWE Championship will be vacated or not. Technically Orton should be champion right now.

-3 Championship matches for next week.

-Three-for-all next week.
ME WANT HEEL PUNK
Me too. That reaction he got was amazing. If the WWE wants to do something right, they should turn Punk heel. It would OWN!
Wow, another PPV where ALL 3 WORLD TITLES CHANGE HANDS. Plus the IC Title. No belt has a single shred of credibility anymore.
Are you ing kidding me? First the ECW title gained some credibility by having an ECW original finally win the title. He finally won the title he's been chasing all his career and can leave on a high note. It gives the championship some meaning to it, "dreams come true". If you want it you can achieve it and that's what Dreamer did. If Dreamer retires with it a tournament (which I've been calling for a while now) should be held and make it more prestigious because it requires a person to have beaten 3 other men (assuming 8 in the tourny) to win the title. Not just one. The WWE title may have lost some credibility, I agree with you that one, because Randy Orton has been built up as a weak champion. His lost tonight proved it. He's been going downhill since he started Legacy. Don't tell me that's not true. The start of Legacy was just stupid, win and your in and have Orton loose and then Snuka and Manu get kicked out, I mean c'mon what the fuck was that? His win at the Rumble was good and the build to the Mania match with Hunter was great; but, from the match on he's been loosing steam. And the World Heavyweight was first won by Jeff Hardy in the best match of the night, and arguably one of the best of the year we've had. That made it look more glorious in the sense that two men were fighting till one couldn't anymore (granted he was stuck, but still). The fact that Punk came in and got the reaction he got made his win THAT more interesting. Fans hated that he wanted the World championship from their favorite, but the fact that a Top Face in the company wanted the championship from another Top Face makes the World Title seem THAT more important. The Intercontinental championship becomes more prestigious because it has been won 9 times by ONE wrestler. A wrestler at that that really wanted it for a purpose. That purpose was to take the two things that the former champion held so dearest, the IC title (which Rey had for the FIRST time) and Rey's mask. And what happened... he won both. So, you see, I fail to see how having 4 championships (again, I agree with you on one of them) change hands make all the titles seem senseless.

Extreme Rules

Santina Marella v. Vickie Guerrero (Hog Pen Match)

-Santina's run will come to an end and the title of Miss Wrestlemania will stay with Vickie Guerrero. Santina will lose but Vickie will still end up in slop, however. One question about this match: How is a Hog Pen Match extreme?

Winner: Vickie Guerrero

CM Punk v. Umaga (Samoan Strap Match)

-First Umaga beats Punk clean at the last pay-per-view. Which didn't make sense for Punk after coming off of a loss to Kane; though, it made sense for Umaga since it was his return to PPV. This match instantly called for a Punk victory; however, since Punk beat Umaga cleanly this past week on Smackdown! it leads me to believe that Punk will once again job for his third straight PPV. I think Punk will go on a loosing streaks of PPVs until he cashes in MITB; though, this contradicts my first prediction of Punk being the first MITB winner to not win the championship.

Winner: Umaga

John Cena v. Big Show (Submission Match)

-Big Show has to win this match. There is no other direction this can go besides the Big Show winning. It made no sense for Cena to NOT be at 100% and still went on to defeat the Big Show at Judgment Day. Now, we have this ridiculous storyline of having Cena not being able to put on the STF(U) on the big man. It makes for a compelling story and build for this match but it kills any heat the Big Show has been receiving since coming over to Raw. Granted his heat has been in decline since Cena beat him with ease at Judgment Day. With that said, though, I think Show can loose and keep his Heat because of the Wildcard. The wildcard for this match is going to be The Miz. Big Show did KO him this past week on RAW. My guess would be that Miz accidently helps Cena with the victory leaving Big Show to continue his assault on Miz. Also, this allows for The Miz to continue his announcement of being undefeated against Cena and the Big Show being winless.

Winner via submission: John Cena.

Rey Mysterio v. Chris Jericho IC title (No Hold Barred).

-With the mask storyline coming into play this match has only one option as an outcome: Chris Jericho winning the IC title for the unprecedented ninth time. This will lead to a future Mask v. Title match in which Rey regains the championship.

Winner and NEW IC champion: Chris Jericho

Kofi Kingston v. William Regal v. Matt Hardy v. MVP US title

-So, uh... what's the extreme rule in this match? So much for EVERY match being extreme. Unless we get a stipulation added during the broadcast, my guess would be an Elimination match. Anyway, with Michael Cole's "passing of the torch" line this past monday it only makes sense that MVP not win the match nor be involved in the decision of the match. With that said, we're left with 3 options. Regal and Hardy have been bickering with each other about who screwed up during their tag match. Also, they both aren't the best of friends because they'll screw the other over if given the chance to win the title. That only leaves one, Kofi Kingston.

Winner and STILL US Champion: Kofi Kingston

Christian v. Tommy Dreamer v. Jack Swagger ECW title (Hardcore Match)

-I love that the WWE are making a big deal out of this match being hardcore as if there was never a hardcore match before. Oh WWE, how I love thee. Anyway, Tommy Dreamer will win the title and still retire. I do believe that Swagger will regain the championship here and beat Dreamer; but, because I want an 8 man tournament to make things more interesting over on ECW I will go with Dreamer winning. [8 possible combatants: Jack Swagger, Christian, Mark Henry, Evan Bourne, Finlay, Paul Burchill, Vladimir Kozolov, and Hurricane if he's healed]

Winner and NEW ECW champion: Tommy Dreamer

Edge v. Jeff Hardy World Heavyweight title (Ladder Match)

-I do not know. Jeff's contract issues haven't been resolved and well, Edge is looking to be a long time champion. Though, one of the main championships will change hand and that will be whichever won't be the main event. So, because the Steel Cage match will be the main event tonight I think that Edge will drop the title to Jeff Hardy in hope of getting him to resign.

Winner and new World Heavyweight champion: Jeff Hardy

Randy Orton v. Batista WWE title (Steel Cage Match)

-If this isn't the main event expect Triple H to return and cause Orton the championship. If this is the main event, which I'm assuming it is, then Ric Flair will cause Batista the championship in fueling the fire of Batista's heel turn coming down the line that will eventually set up a program with him and Trips upon his return. There's another thing that I'm factoring into this match. Because of Cole's "passing of the torch" line I believe that Kennedy's scheduled push for the championship will be passed to MVP. Hence, him loosing the championship this past week on Raw and not being involved in the decision of the fatal 4 way match. So, Orton wins tonight (if its the main event) because of Flair and will start a program with MVP because the next PPV the WWE title won't be in the main event and it will give MVP a chance to show he can go at a PPV for the WWE championship before they give him the title, making him the first Black man to win the WWE title (the Rock doesn't count just like Barack doesn't count as the first black president, because TECHNICALLY he's not black!)

Winner and Still WWE champion: Randy Orton

Smackdown Semi-Review

The last Smackdown before Extreme Rules.

Announced for tonight:

Edge v. Rey Mysterio [Champion v. Champion]

CM Punk v. Umaga  [Whoever wins looses on Sunday]

Opening: Cutting Edge.

The stage and entrance way are decorated with ladders with the World Championship hanging above the ring.

Edge brings out Jeff Hardy.

Jeff's "reckless".

Edge hits him in the head with the title and shoves Jeff off the ladder.

Shelton Benajamin v. John Morrison [Benjamin needs to win]

-FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! They just continue to bury Shelton Benjamin and it sucks. I think I have to accept the fact that Benjamin will never go over. This feud has done nothing for Benjamin, though on the contrary, has done everything they needed for Morrison. Since his single's debut on Smackdown he's been on a hot roll (and I believe undefeated) on Smackdown. He just needs to wait for Jericho's feud to be over with Mysterio before getting a chance at another heel. Though, Morrison's heat isn't what it should be. He hardly gets a big reaction.

Chris Jericho v. R-Truth

-Jericho says he's going to take off Mysterio's mask.

-R-Truth interrupts him and sings.

Umaga v. CM Punk

-CM Punk won.

Alicia Fox, Layla, and Michelle McCool  v. Gail Kim, Eve Mendes, and Melina

-Special Referee: Maria.

-Layla pins Melina!!

The Great Khali v. Dolph Ziggler

-Winner Great Khali.

The Miz

I admit that I was never a huge fan of The Miz when he debuted hosting the Diva Search. I WAS rooting for him during the Tough Enough competition, however. When The Miz was moved to ECW is when I really become a fan. He was given the chance to shine and go for the title on numerous occasions. His pairing with Morrison did wonders for his career. And, no, not be cause Morrison carried him; rather, because they clicked so well and really taught each other what they were missing. Morrison needs the mic skills and Miz needs to carry himself in a match (which he's been doing).

When they finally split the team up (who didn't see that coming with the commentary they were getting during the match Miz had with Kingston). The question was who would go where? I loved that Miz was going to Raw because it was a live show and he could certainly gain momentum with the amount of talent there was on Raw. I wasn't worried Miz would get lost in the shuffle because he wasn't going to break out as a top star off the bat. He needs time to get billed as a viable contender. How do they do this, they mix him up in the Cena-Show storyline. This storyline (along with that of Morrison and Benjamin) have been the two storylines that have been the center of attention on either show, IMO. This shows that both men are being given a great chance to blow up but it takes time for them to really be pushed to that next level.

Miz has consistently been improving and I look forward to how far he'll go this year. I think 2009 will be The Miz's breakout year and 2010 will be his reward year where he'll be moved to the next level.
